Naptown Tap is a website currently being used for the development of new beer applications. Our current project is to create calculators for the use of home brewers free of charge.

The main goal of this project is to create a calculator that will assist the homebrewer through the design of their beer to the calculatiion of the ABV and IBU of their newly fermented beer. On top of these features, the user will be able to save their recipies and keep track of their efficiency.

To achive this, the following calculators will be created leading up to the final goal:

• ABV Calculator (Actual and Estimated):
  • Actual (Completed August 22nd 2018)
    • Calculates your beers ABV provided that you have your brews initial and final gravity
    • Inputs:
      • Initaial Gravity
      • Final Gravity
  • Estimated
    • Calculates the estimated ABV based on the malt and yeast you plan to use in your upcoming brew
    • Inputs:
      • Batch size
      • Efficiency
      • Yeast Attenuation
      • Malt Potential and Ammount
• IBU Calculator
  • Calculates your beers IBU
  • Inputs (research of IBU calculation is in process, more variables will be added as research progresses):
    • Batch Size
    • Hop's Alpha Acid and Amount
